Even though this is a men’s health episode, it’s important to point out the similarities between the men’s and women’s bodies. For example, men also need balanced hormone levels for testosterone and estrogen. The prostate is essentially a uterus, the testicles are essentially the ovaries, and men can also get breast cancer.

Foods Men Need

Your blood type dictates the foods your body needs. Men tend to need more meat and protein to sustain more muscle mass. In our modern age of mineral depleted soils, men need to eat more greens. Living on a diet too high in carbs depletes testosterone levels. Men also need testosterone for their brain to help make decisions. You need to learn how to hunt and fish then how to cook it. There’s a reason men are known as the hunter and women as the gather.

Eat healthy oils like coconut oil, olive oil, and grass fed animal fats. Stop eating fried foods. Not only do they have inflammatory gluten but they are made with cheap and potentially rancid vegetable oils. Vegetable oils can clog arteries and veins, especially to the brain.

Find other ways to boost your energy. Eat real food and not processed foods. Use intermittent fasting to reset your metabolism. The ketogenic diet fixes insulin resistance and diabetes. Use carb timing: don’t eat carbohydrates until after 3pm.

Move More

I’m sure your tired of hearing you need to exercise more but move more! Walking is the best exercise. Find 20 minutes and go for a walk outside in nature. Walk on uneven surfaces to exercise your balance and your brain. Stretch more. Stretching increases mobility and flexibility. If you’re all big and buff but your not flexible, you are doing damage to your joints and increasing your risk of strokes and arterial blockage.
